MONCLER is now a global brand, but its origins lie in the creation of gear necessary for the survival of people living in deep snowy regions. It was in 1952, soon after the war, in the tiny village of Monestier de Clermont at the foot of the Alps, that René Lamyon and André Vincent began making quilted sleeping bags, hooded capes, and foldable tents.
