Four years in the life of Taiga Nakano, as captured by Kotori Kawashima. A new photo book "(World)²" is now on sale, and the exhibition is also available.

As the unprecedented situation caused by the coronavirus symbolizes, the world is an unpredictable place. In a few years, cities change, and everyone's situation changes.

Yet, there are some things that remain unchanged, and that is what is truly strong. This is what I thought of when I saw their photo collection.

Photographer.Kotori Kawashima.In 2017, the two photographed actor Taiga Nakano in the self-published book "Michi" (2017). Four years have passed since then, and the two have now released a collection of the works they have photographed during that time.

The title is "(World)²". It is a record of walking and spending time in countries around the world, including Tokyo, Atami, Osaka, Taiwan, France, Germany, and Portugal.

As they say, "Even if the place and time change, the atmosphere and worldview that flows between the two of us remain the same. The time spent in the studio has remained in the form of photographs.

What they all have in common is an unshakable trust between them. This strength, which prevents the viewer from rushing in, makes me jealous, but at the same time happy.
