Ipponmatsu Ale was developed as a derivative of Ipponmatsu Beer, a charity project launched in 2012 with the idea of "encouraging a wider range of people to participate in the recovery effort while enjoying beer. This year only, the soft aroma of pine trees and a refreshing citrus aroma, along with the bitterness and grassiness of IPA, will be available only this year. The aroma that escapes through the nose is said to be reminiscent of the pine forests that once existed in Takada Matsubara.
