TOD'S espadrilles are so beautiful you'd hesitate to wear them on the beach.
These smart espadrilles in chic color palettes like beige and bordeaux are tempting to pick up on their own, but once you do, you're sure to loosen your purse strings.
The smooth suede is subtly decorated with a monogram logo, the EVA outsole is inspired by the pebble sole of the brand's iconic "Gommini" driving shoes, and the jute is sewn in an orderly fashion, but with a sense of hand-warmth. The back of the toe is covered with a thin fabric lining, which not only prevents the shape of the fingers from echoing outward, but also contributes to improved foot comfort. They are much dressier than a pair of dress shoes.
The theme for this season's "Tod's" is said to be Peter Beard, who was known as "an elegant and savage artist. Peter Beard was a photographer who cut out the reality of African elephants and other wild animals and made a name for himself in the New York social scene. If you want to be a nonchalant Peter Beard, it would be right to step down on your heels, even if your feet are covered with sand, but that may require a little bit of courage.
Espadrilles with soft suede upper. The heel can be stepped on and worn as mules or slippers. Available in light natural and light bordeaux. Each ¥72,600
