Artist known for his illustrations of hunchbacked, melancholy figures with a comical touch.Yusuke HanaiHe has been exhibiting his works since 2005, and has collaborated with popular brands such as "BEAMS" and "Vans" on numerous occasions. His cynical yet friendly artwork is loved not only in Japan but also across borders.
Mr. Hanai will hold his first exhibition in Japan in five years at the gallery on the fourth floor of TERRADA ART COMPLEX II.T&Y Projects.The exhibition is currently being held at the "KARAKUSAI" in Tokyo, Japan. In addition to the largest painting ever exhibited, a 200-size painting, a ceramic artist andEtsushi Noguchi. The ceramic works made with Mr. Kikuchi and Mr. Kikuchi are also on display.
Under the theme of "From Japan to Asia, from Japan to the World," "T&Y Projects" has presented solo exhibitions of eminent artists such as Tomoo Gokita and Yukimasa Ida.
This exhibition, the third in the series, is composed of not only Mr. Hanai's canvases and ceramic works, but also rare vintage furniture by Jean Prouve and Le Corbusier from the "T&Y Projects" collection. The gallery is incorporated into an everyday scene, creating a space that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders.
