That was when I was back home in Kansai," he said. When I was watching a local TV program in Kansai, Rigetta was featured in the program, and I became interested in its high functionality. So I immediately contacted Rigetta to discuss a special order. I thought the idea of using geta (Japanese clogs), which is not possible with comfort shoes from overseas, was also very Japanese and interesting. I had seen Rigetta itself on mail-order programs, catalogs, and online sites, and I had the impression that they were active in a completely different scene from ours, but I thought it would be interesting if this shoe brand were to spread to a younger fashion segment.
We have been manufacturing in Osaka's Ikuno Ward for many years, and our localized manufacturing has some links with our Kobe-based company, which produces its own products. It was with this in mind that this project was launched.
