Introduced last March, the top athlete model METASPEED has recorded more than 250 personal bests to date. The newest additions, METASPEED SKY+ and METASPEED EDGE+, will be released on June 14 (Tuesday).
METASPEED SKY+ ¥27,500
The METASPEED SKY+ is a model for runners with a wide stride. A flat carbon plate is placed at the top of the midsole, and 41 TP10T more FF BLAST TURBO cushioning foam is added than in the previous model. By compressing this foam material across the entire plate, more dynamic resilience is created.
METASPEED EDGE+ ¥27,500
The METASPEED EDGE+, on the other hand, is ideal for pitch-type runners who take a lot of steps. A spoon-shaped carbon plate is used in the midsole, which is placed to slope toward the toes. The "FF BLAST TURBO," which has 161 TP10T more than the previous model, locally compresses the tip of the foot, which requires more force when kicking off, to achieve smooth foot movement while gaining repulsive force.
Prior to the release of this title, entries for the "META : Time : Trials JAPAN Series," a race event in which citizen runners compete for a 5000m time, have begun, with preliminary races to be held in six cities across Japan, beginning with the Hokkaido region on June 26 (Sunday). The top finishers will advance to the finals to be held in Tokyo on Saturday, September 24.
