There are two types of collaborations. Either they are originally compatible with each other, or they are unexpected and co-create with each other. The pain when the latter works out is probably one of the most enjoyable aspects of collaboration.
To be honest, I was surprised when I heard that Timberland and WACKO MARIA would be collaborating, but judging by the outstanding finish you see here, I'd say the experiment was a success.
