Unisex brand from GermanyPOLYPLOIDWe are pleased to announce the 22-23AW collection from
As the brand name suggests, they have been experimenting with product development in a multifaceted way. This season's lineup includes items inspired by the work of textile designer Anni Albers.
Anni Albers (1899-1994) is one of the most famous textile artists of the 20th century. Based in Berlin, she explored a wide range of fabrics, from ancient textiles to the latest fabrics of the time, and created a variety of works that captivate the viewer's heart.
This project was realized in sympathy with her philosophy. Among her many works, we paid attention to a group of works with geometric motifs created when she was a student at Bauhaus.
Classic textiles such as tweed with nep, herringbone, back satin and tweed wool knits are used, while water-repellent twill, nylon and technical materials with high functional properties are also used. Fabrics with contrasting characteristics were used in contrast.
The color palette was also influenced by Ani's early work, with natural, brown, black, and earth tones as the main colors. In addition, in terms of outlines, a new model was created inspired by Annie's work. The "OVERSIZE PARKA" is designed with straight horizontal and vertical lines, while the "CAPE" is a simple rectangular woven fabric that is worn through the hands, respecting the original form of the fabric.
This time, a different perspective is taken into the creations based on a unique formula. It seems that Polyploid will continue to open up new possibilities for clothing and textiles.
Deliveries begin this Saturday, the 20th.
