CITIZEN Series 8 watches, loved for their solid design that tickled men's fancy, were relaunched last year after an eight-year hiatus, with a focus on functionality and practicality while maintaining the design direction of the brand's past.
The watch presented here is a limited edition model commemorating the first anniversary of the brand's relaunch. It is an all-black piece that will stand out on the wearer's wrist.
The stainless steel case, with its distinctive bezel, is an eye-catching combination of parts polished in different ways to achieve this shape. The Duratect DLC coating, a hardening technology unique to CITIZEN, makes the watch scratch-resistant.
Carbon is used for the dial, which is reminiscent of a speckled pattern. It is hard to tell from the photo, but the indexes and hands are also black.
Another highlight is the see-through back cover, a first for the CITIZEN Series Eight.
The features are not only in terms of design. The watch has enhanced antimagnetic performance to prevent the effects of magnetism emitted by smartphones and tablets. With a power reserve of approximately 50 hours, the average day difference is kept between -5 and +10 seconds.
This one is limited to 700 pieces worldwide. The release date is Thursday, September 22.
