A solo exhibition of new works by Taichi Watanabe , an artist who explores various pictorial expressions on the theme of movable windows, will be held in Shinsaibashi.

Currently enrolled in the First Oil Painting Laboratory, Graduate School of Tokyo University of the ArtsTaichi Watanabewill hold a solo exhibition "Imaginary World" at SkiiMa GALLERY on the 4th floor of Shinsaibashi Parco.

Watanabe continues to create oil paintings on the theme of "movable windows," pursuing a pictorial expression that serves as an entry point into space.

In this exhibition, Watanabe, who has always attempted to create paintings that transcend dimensions in order to expand the possibilities of the flat surface in pictorial expression, builds on his previous expressions and attempts to capture the sky outside the window as a new "window" expression.

Since his solo exhibition "where I want." in January, he has been showing oil paintings under the research theme of "movable window" or "window anywhere. The "movable windows" are paintings that create a space on the wall surface, just like an actual window, and the artist has been pursuing a pictorial expression that serves as an entrance to that space. This exhibition will feature new oil paintings that depict the space of "sky," which sometimes exists above our heads, sometimes at the same height, sometimes below, and sometimes nonexistent, in the form of movable windows.
