The "RAINMAKER" brand has been introduced in HOUYHNHNM from time to time.
It is a fashion brand that is the pride of Japan, mixing various elements such as the West and the East, elegance and rebellious spirit.
The photos presented here are backstage photos from the recently released runway.
I thought it had a very nice sizzle and sex appeal that was not present in the official photos, so I took the trouble to introduce it.
In addition, starting with the fall/winter 2021 season, seasonal collections have been presented in the form of runway show videos.
The video direction is by photographer Taro Mizutani, continuing from the Fall/Winter 2021 collection, and the stylist is Hideo Nakagane. The creativity of both photographers and stylists, combined with the power of the culturally valuable locations in Kyoto, the brand's base for filming, are cleverly balanced to create a single video work.

This season, we have created an image of a person with serenity and strength.
The collection is based on masculine tailoring, but with a light elegance through the use of soft and supple materials and coloring.
New items were created with motifs of oriental costumes, such as coats and jackets with kimono-like forms, leather jackets with frog buttons, and pullover shirts.
The color palette is based on monotones of white, black, and gray, with several different shades of green, and the original textile, created in collaboration with MILESTONES, is based on a spring/summer obi pattern with ethereal coloring.
The first half of the runway show started with subdued colors reminiscent of fresh greenery and moss, and in the second half, colors inspired by spring and summer scenes such as flowers, rivers, and Japanese gardens were added, adding gorgeous colors to the collection.

The 2023 Spring/Summer Collection runway show will feature Eiko Ishibashi, a musician known for her theatrical work with the Marm and Gypsy Theater Company and for her music for the anime "Infinite Dweller-IMMORTAL-" and the movie "Drive My Car.
The piano performance by the artist and the three elements of visual beauty, styling, and location are fused together in the Kyoto Kyocera Museum of Art, reaching a higher level and transcending the framework of visual expression of a fashion brand in a positive sense.
Tranquil, yet emotional and dramatic. It was one of those works that made me feel again the power of music.
