Nick White runs an old, tasteful, and warm furniture shop on a small street off the main street. He is good friends with his friend Tony , a painter. One day, Nick has the bright idea of decorating his store with Tony's paintings....

It's a little bit like a "painting" show, isn't it? Mr. Oki's solo exhibition will be held under the unique theme of "Nick White, a fictional furniture store owner, and Tony, who has loved painting for a long time.

The exhibition will mainly feature two-dimensional works, including new works such as abstract paintings and text works that are full of OKI's taste. In addition, only two stools in the world with art directly applied will be exhibited this time. This is the first attempt for Mr. Oki to do so.

OKI KENICHI / Artist
Based in Fukuoka, Japan. He also creates sculptures and installations based on abstract paintings in which he expresses his thoughts by transforming human figures, letter works in which he transforms the alphabet into a unique form, or a cross between the two.
In 2014, he moved to New York City and was selected as a participating artist in Bushwick Open Studios.
