Chocolate Planet is a comedy duo consisting of Shun Matsuo and Shohei Nagata, affectionately known as "Chocoplanet. Their activities are diverse, ranging from their finely-tuned comedy and impersonations to their YouTube channel, which boasts more than 1.8 million subscribers, to voice acting in movies and animated films.
Chocolate Planet" was chosen by "AVIREX" for this project. AVIREX has been involved in such unique collaborations as "New Japan Pro-Wrestling" and "Hanshin Tigers" in the past, and this time, AVIREX is challenging new possibilities for the brand.
The YouTube channel of Avilex has also released an original "Chocolate Planet" video to commemorate the collaboration.
Matsuo supervised the design, using items from "Avilex" as a foundation to express the world of "Chocolate Planet. For example, on the back of the MA-1, which is a typical "AVIREX" item, is an original patch that combines the planet logo associated with the duo's name and the logo used as the icon of their YouTube channel. Furthermore, the "USA" has been changed to "CPA (=Chocolate Planet AVIREX)," and other details have been carefully arranged.
