After studying under Kazuhiro Fujita, he became an independent photographer in 2017,Kyohei YamamotoHe is usually active mainly in the field of fashion. Normally active mainly in the field of fashion, this is the first time for him to present his own work in the form of a solo exhibition.
The title of the exhibition is "Transparent and Slightly Dazzling. What is captured in the photographs is not something specific, but "something visible and something invisible. What is captured in the photographs is not something specific, but "the mystery that exists between the visible and the invisible.
To give you a better idea of the exhibition, here is a description by the venue, "omotesando atelier Okuno Room," as well as Yamamoto's comments on the exhibition.
Dryer wind
Overlap of shears and comb
sound of someone cutting one's hair
A faint voice you can hear
Garden Plants Landscape
Birds and insects that visit us from time to time
Movement of shadows caused by incoming light
(omotesando atelier back room)
If there was something bigger than myself, I would feel the joy and salvation that I would experience when I realized the existence of something bigger than myself. The back room has a unique atmosphere for me, like a shrine or a church, and I have been thinking that one day I would like to have a solo exhibition in this place. I hope many people will see my work. I hope you will stop by if you are in the neighborhood (Kyohei Yamamoto).
Due to the nature of the exhibition, we can only give an abstract explanation, but we hope you will be able to see the essence of the works for yourself.
The exhibition will be held from November 26 (Sat) to December 4 (Sun). The venue is the "inner room" next door to the "omotesando atelier" beauty salon in Omotesando. There is a separate entrance from the hair salon, so anyone can enter.
