Individual Exhibition TANAAMI!!! AKATSUKA!!! / Thatʻs all Right! was held at Shibuya PARCO. A dream collaboration between Keiichi Tanaami and Fujio Akatsuka.

A psychedelic worldview painted with a colorful and pop touch . . And familiar characters such as Bakabon and Bakabon-no Papa.

Japan's world-class artist Keiichi Tanaami pays homage to manga artist Fujio Akatsuka in his solo exhibition "TANAAMI! AKATSUKA!!! / Thatʻs all Right! will be held at "PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO" on the 4th floor of "Shibuya Parco" in Shibuya, Tokyo.

Mr. Tanaami recalls his memories of Mr. Akatsuka before his death, saying, "We used to drink together at bars in Shinjuku and Roppongi in the 1970s and 1980s. Mr. Akatsuka's presence was very important to Mr. Tanaami, who worked diligently to produce his works under the motto, "Foolishness is seriousness," and his attitude had a deep influence on his own works.

With the cooperation of Rieko Akatsuka, Akatsukaʼs eldest daughter, the exhibition will present new works in a variety of formats including painting, collage, neon, and installation, using original drawings from popular manga such as "Himitsu no Akko-chan" and "Tensai Bakabon" as motifs. In addition, he has published a special edition of his works by Shueisha, "Thatʻs all Right! and "SHUEISHA MANGA-ART HERITAGE" prints will also be released. Fans will not be able to miss the re-teaming of Mr. Tanaami, who has worked on the art direction of numerous Shueisha magazines, with the company.

The exhibition will run from Saturday, January 21 to Monday, February 13, so don't miss this dream collaboration between two pop culture masters!
