Graphpaper" has three stores in Aoyama, Sendai, and Kyoto, all of which have ties to creative director Takayuki Minami. A new store has opened in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.
From fashion to lifestyle to culture, the various elements that make up the brand are concentrated on two floors at the Nagoya store of Graphpaper.
The first floor, unified by the typical "Graphpaper" gray color scheme, is the ART BOOKS area. Under the title of "circulatedbooks," in collaboration with "twelvebooks" and "LIEB BOOKS," resources in the fashion and art book industries are circulated. Focusing on books and artworks by artists associated with Aichi, the event is said to create opportunities for visitors to experience the art that once existed in Aichi and the latest art scene.
The first volume focuses on exhibition booklets and related books from Sakura Gallery, Aichi Prefecture's first contemporary art gallery, established in 1961, and Akira Ikeda Gallery, which opened in 1972. In addition, more than 700 records purchased for the opening are now on sale.
The wood-toned space in the back is the first shop-in-shop in Japan for FRAMA, a Copenhagen-based design studio. The store offers a full lineup of gender-neutral apothecaries, and the furniture used in the store can also be purchased on order.
Going up to the second floor, five walls appear. You might think they were minimalist art, but they are Graphpaper. Turn to the back of the building, and you will suddenly see clothing. This floor features a wide range of Graphpaper products, including not only the basic collection, but also seasonal collections and store exclusive items. Their products are sure to be even more special when viewed in this sophisticated space.
The space itself is a work of art, the Nagoya branch of Graphpaper. Please visit us when you are in the neighborhood.
