We tend to worry about how others see us, not only on social networking sites, but also in our daily lives. What is important is how we think and feel about ourselves, but in today's society we tend to forget such simple things. What if we could completely free ourselves from such modern worries of approval? A new web magazine, "INSIDE FOCUS," was recently launched to provide hints for the answer to this question. Here we report on "INSIDE FOCUS" and the event held to commemorate its launch.

A world conveyed through talk shows, tea ceremony booths, and DJ events.
GOKIGEN BEAT Corporation, a company that supports corporate marketing, has launched a web magazine, "GOKIGEN BEAT.INSIDE FOCUSThe theme of this project is to intentionally turn our thoughts "inward" without being bound by any "outside" value standards. It may sound a bit complicated to hear that the theme is to intentionally turn one's thoughts "inward" without being bound by any "external" value standards, but let's start with a glimpse into the world of "INSIDE FOCUS" from a scene at the launch event. Let's take a look at the "INSIDE FOCUS" world from the launch event.
The event will include a talk show by Shuichi Tsuji, a sports doctor, and Shunsuke Narisawa, the "world's brightest visually impaired person", a tea ceremony booth where you can experience a tea ceremony, and a chatting time for visitors to interact with each other (with DJ play by Harashima "Doshin-chu" Chuho! DJ performance by "Doshin-chu" Chuho!) The venue is located in Harajuku, Tokyo. The venue is the "Togo Memorial Hall" in Harajuku, Tokyo, where wedding receptions, exhibitions, and even international conferences (!!!) are held. Thoughts on the title & talk show theme.
The theme of the talk was "INSIDE FOCUS," which is also the title of the web magazine. Mr. Tsuji asked Mr. Narisawa straightforwardly what "INSIDE FOCUS" means, and he replied, "I believe that "INSIDE FOCUS" means to "recomprehend" things. "I think it means to "re-see" things. For example, I am fortunate that I am blind, so my life is the most enjoyable. Normally, people think that because you are blind, there is not much you can do on your own. In my case, however, I am able to do things that are impossible in the world because I look within to see what I can do in a situation where I cannot see, and I reevaluate the situation (blindness) that is happening to me. I constantly introspect and re-capture. I enjoy doing that, and now I also do skateboarding, surfing, kickboxing, and various other individual sports," was the answer.
As I was thinking about what he was saying, the conversation turned to Mr. Narisawa's work with companies. What I am doing now is often thought of as consulting, but in reality, I am more like a mental advisor to business owners. What I mean is that I, as a layman (with no knowledge of the industry), irresponsibly give my opinion on what I see when I look at the company from the outside, and together we search for new ideas that can be generated from there. At such times, I share with the managers the way of thinking that I have cultivated in my life, "rethinking the way I see things," and encourage them to spontaneously look within themselves. I am responsible for being irresponsible (laughs)." Narisawa's light-hearted and engaging talk skills and the content drew everyone in, and the one-hour talk show ended in the blink of an eye.
Thoughts on the title & talk show theme.
After the talk show, a tea ceremony experience began at a tea ceremony booth in a mobile tea room. While enjoying tea sweets and green tea brewed on the spot, we asked Teppei Tanaka, president of GOKIGEN BEAT Corporation, who is the driving force behind "INSIDE FOCUS," about the purpose of the launch of the web magazine.
The company name "GOKIGEN (good mood)" is a message that we are always conscious of looking at our emotions, and that it is important to think about what we really want to do without being pulled away from what we really want to do, and to stay in a high state of performance. This is the message of the "GOKIGEN (mood)". In other words, "INSIDE FOCUS" is the root of "GOKIGEN", and the media was launched as a way to put this into words and ask the world about it.
The main contents are videos and articles in which we interview people, both famous and unknown, whom we consider to be introspective. We hope that these activities will help increase the number of people in the world who are INSIDE FOCUS (introspective), even if only a little.
While listening to the conversation, the audience naturally mingled with each other and the DJ booth was filled with the members of Chaos On Parade, a Hip Hop crew to which Teppei Tanaka belongs.Harashima "Doshin" SoruyoshiThe event ended before 10:00 p.m. with the appearance of Mr. Harashima "Doshin" Chuboyoshi, who filled the venue with his "GOKIGEN" (good mood) and pleasant music. The event ended before 10:00 p.m. The interview with Harashima "Doshinchu" Chuho is also available here.
INSIDE FOCUS" has just started and will be continuously updated with new articles in addition to the current contents. Even after reading this far, some of you may still find it a little difficult to understand.... However, choosing things around you, such as fashion, music, and food, should also lead you to introspection. What to choose and what not to choose? As "INSIDE FOCUS" suggests, what you gain from your inner trials will enrich your life.
