Please read the following story first.
"We met her on Instagram . . it all started when I was searching for clothes I wanted by hashtagging the name of a brand I liked. Amongst the images of the clothes and advertisements, an image of a woman wearing a distorted shape I had never seen before jumped out at me. A quick glance was enough to tell me that it was that brand of clothing . But something was wrong. The shape of the clothes did not match her body. Upon closer inspection, I realized that she was not actually wearing the clothes, but rather a collage made by combining images of cut-out pieces of clothing and applying them to her face. Curious, I hopped over to her profile and found that she had posted many selfies made in the same way. Soon after, we sent her a message asking to meet her. She showed up at a fast food restaurant in Shinjuku , wearing a gray uniform. After we talked about each other for a while, when we talked about that picture, she told me this story. I wanted to buy some clothes I saw on a fashion snapshot website , so I looked for them in an online store. They had it in stock , but it was a bit expensive. So I cut out an image of the outfit on my iPhone and combined it with my face, and it was a lot of fun. I thought, "This way I don't have to spend any money, and I can wear whatever combination of clothes I want. I've worn my favorite Vetements, RAF SIMONS, GUCCI, Y/Project, and I'm thinking of trying on Balenciaga. . I think I can't just admire and look at the clothes I want to wear.
. we decided to work with her to make clothes."
The social networking system has quickly changed the social system. Not only did it change the system, but it also transformed even the shape of human desires. I think this short story clearly shows the new form of desire that lurks behind the relationship between people and their clothes as an entry point.
The ringleader of the current round of "PUGMENT." for the following text.
"Founded in 2014 by Masahiro Otani and Karin Imafuku . They observe the process of transformation of the value and meaning of clothing in human life, and incorporate this process into the production process of their garments. In these days when all fashion-related images are symbolized and consumed without resistance, they reconsider the nature of communication through clothing and propose new ways of building relationships with the city, society, and others."
Well, high context. However, their academic and humorous approach to the current state of fashion, such as the premier of famous logos, the concentration of popularity on iconic clothes, and the popularity of fast fashion, shows a realistic side to fashion. . I honestly think it's interesting.
This time, they will hold "Spring 2018," consisting of an exhibition of orders and a fashion show. The venue was "Workstation.", a three-story artist-run space jointly operated by artists including the artist himself.
Under the theme of "Scrap," the exhibition and sale will feature images of garments collected from the fashion media and a collection created from materials such as tarpaulins and paper used as advertisements in department stores and buildings.
