A little ahead of schedule, from September 3, ( day ) to October 22, ( day ), for 50 days in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, a town at the tip of Noto Peninsula, Japan.Okunoto International Art Festival 2017will be held.
Suzu is a town that has long been active in sea-land exchange and has nurtured a unique culture. Because of its geographical isolation, the town still retains traditional lifestyles and customs that are the origin of Japanese culture.
There is a "forgotten Japan.
Autumn is the most lively season of the year in Okunoto, with the "Kiriko Festival," where huge lanterns are paraded in a procession every day.
The Okunoto International Art Festival 2017 will be held during this season. It is an attempt to create a "cutting-edge" culture from the "farthest reaches" of Japan through a chemical reaction between participating artists from Japan and abroad and the Japanese culture that lies dormant in Okunoto Suzu.
Passports for viewing artworks are now on sale, so don't miss out on the excitement of the summer festivals and make plans to experience art and indigenous Japanese culture in the fall.
