For the 2022 AW season, Diesel held runway shows in Milan, Italy, the brand's hometown, as well as here in Tokyo.
This episode shows how important Japan is to Diesel and its creative director, Glen Martins.
And now, a capsule collection for Autumn/Winter 2011 is available exclusively at pop-up stores in Japan. To celebrate the launch, a pop-up store will be opened at "The Stage" on the 1st floor of Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building from August 16 (Wed.) to 29 (Tue.), 2011.
The key visual, shot by photographer Shun Omiyama, features Shuzo Ohira, Tina Tamaki, Sumitaka Totsuka, and Yamato Inoue. The items they are wearing in the photos will be on display at the pop-up event.
The lineup of items of interest includes trench coats, denim shirts, jackets and track denim setups, monster cargo pants, and ISETAN exclusive items. The variety is so rich that it is hard to believe that it is only available in Japan.
Each item is inspired by archival denim with a characteristic washed finish, and various treatments such as washes, damage, and coatings are applied to give it a craftsmanship finish. The calculated processing, which is tasteful but does not look like rags, is a true Diesel touch.
At the pop-up venue, there will be an exhibition of photographs taken by Mr. Komiyama. Other photos besides the key visuals will also be on display, so why not visit the venue?
