OMEGA celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster with the launch of the Seamaster Summer Blue Collection, which includes 11 models from seven iconic models.
The Seamaster Summer Blue Collection is so unique that it is tempting to keep all of the models if you can. This is because the dials dyed in blue, the most distinctive feature of the collection, express the water resistance of the watches in shades of color. The deeper the model, the darker the color; the shallower the color, the lighter the color. OMEGA has named the blue color, which was created from scratch, Summer Blue. The gradation of blue that appears when the watches are placed side by side is certainly reminiscent of the summer sea.
PLANET OCEAN, SEAMASTER 300
The Seamaster 300, introduced in 1957, is one of the "professional trilogy" together with the Speedmaster and the Railmaster. It features a highly legible dial and, as its name suggests, is water resistant to 300 meters. The Planet Ocean, inspired by the Seamaster 300 and completed in 2005, can withstand depths of up to 600 meters.
The backs of both watches feature Poseidon holding a trident and two sea horses, one of which was designed when the watch was created in 1956, and the other is the current design.
The Seamaster still plays an important role in marine exploration and protection. Few models look as good in summer blue as the Seamaster.
