Souvenir jackets, commonly known as Vietjeans, were created during the Vietnam War in the 1960s and 1970s. Like the well-known "Sukajan" in Japan, designs typical of the area are usually incorporated into the design. However, the "Rebel Raiders" have given the VietJan a unique color by embroidering a scorpion motif and an inverted blessing (daofu) on the front, meaning "good luck," and an impamaria on the back.
The fabric is cotton satin with a biostone finish. Not only the processing, but furthermore, the use of a vintage embroidery machine gives the garment a vintage look and feel.
