Spring/Summer 2023.YLÈVEY" was started by Reiko Taguchi and Keiji Kaneko of "Y". The first fall/winter collection, 2023AW, has just been launched.
The theme of the brand is the following words by both parties
A guiding presence for coordination
Transcending gender, generation, genre, and scene
Anyone can get one at any time.
To be such a reliable wear.
I think there is a culture of "just wearing" clothes that are easily accessible in the house.
I'm not particularly picky, but I'd be happy if those clothes looked good on anyone.
Advisor Keiji Kaneko
I wear both women's and men's clothing and vintage clothing.
I thought it would be good to have clothes that are perceived in a rougher way, regardless of who they are for or what they are used for, and I wanted to make clothes like that.
Designer Reiko Taguchi
It was from thoughts like these that the two started their brand. This kind of flow can be called a derivation or spin-off.
Only white and navy clothes are produced. Unisex, ageless, size-less, season-less.... We make washable clothes that are easy to use on a daily basis, and that blend easily with coordinated outfits.
Six fabrics were the focus this season. Polyester and nylon are recycled materials, while organic cotton typewriter cloth, moleskin, 12.5 oz denim, and non-mulching organic wool from Patagonia were chosen. That is how we make our products sustainably.
You wear it, you wash it, you fold it, and you want to wear it again right away. These are the clothes that answer the natural cycle necessary for clothing in a straightforward and honest manner.
And I think we choose clothes that we wear often because we feel comfortable and at ease when wearing them. I feel that from the visuals. And also the ease of coordination. I think it is because of the courage of that choice, of narrowing down the colors.
We have a selection of clothing that will definitely be available this season. The stores where they are available areStock list herePlease see from
