As we all know, the clothing we enjoy on a daily basis has a tremendous impact on the environment during each step of the production process. Another brand that seriously focuses on such issues has been born.
TSUG is a brand that will be launched in 2023 with the concept of sustainability and borderlessness.
The brand name is derived from the Japanese word "tsugu," which has various meanings, such as "to join" fabrics and materials, "to succeed" culture, technology, and spirit, and "to pass on" to the next generation. We strive to create products that are not bound by any genre, gender, or national borders.
The brand also focuses on environmental issues such as loss and disposal, vintage and dead stock, which are created in the production process and inventory issues, and incorporates them into the brand concept.
This season, the Guatemalan upcycling project, "THE NEW DENIM PROJECTThe company has teamed up with "SENGOKU" to upcycle denim scraps, fallen cotton, used clothing, and other items that would otherwise be thrown away, into yarn, fabric, and finished products.
In addition, as part of a project in Guatemala, a famous coffee-producing country, the knots and scraps of fallen cotton that cannot be turned into yarn are donated to coffee farms, where they are returned to the soil as organic compost.

I know it bears repeating, but "Tsugu" is starting this season. Be sure to check it out.
