I am not sure if this metaphor works, but listening to yahyel's music and watching their videos reminds me of the junior high school students in Ryu Murakami's novel "Exodus in the Land of Hope". They understand exactly how modern society works, distinguish between useful and useless vested interests based on a flat perspective, easily cross borders mentally and physically, and drastically change society.
I interpret the yahyel project as containing a reactive critique of Japan's domestic stagnation.
