In the 1980s, watches, cameras, and many other products went digital. Footwear was no exception, and at the time PUMA released the RS Computer, a running shoe equipped with electronic hardware and software.
Although it was an original approach that seemed to be typical of [PUMA], there is no chance to see shoes with a built-in computer even now in the year 2024...but the limited edition model "PUMA RS-X "40th Anniversary" "magforlia / mita sneakers EXCLUSIVE"" is now available.
The limited edition will be available at PUMA Stores in Harajuku and Osaka, "MITA Sneakers" in Ueno, and "Magforia" in Fujieda, Shizuoka Prefecture, from January 27 (Sat.).
The base model "RS-X" is an updated version of the 1980s running shoe "RS" known for its revolutionary cushioning technology. The "X" stands for "extreme," meaning cutting-edge technology. While keeping the design of the past, it has been reconstructed in a futuristic way with a three-dimensional look and a mix of different materials.
In this work, silver parts are used for the heel and toe portions, and a geometric pattern is dropped into the foam strip to express the futuristic world view that is typical of "RS Computer. The navy accents that give an intellectual impression are also not to be missed.
This new masterpiece was created by blending the design elements of the RS Computer with the RS-X. If you are looking for a retro running shoe that is different in vector from the trend, this is the one to aim for.
