To begin with, this work was produced to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Kijima Takayuki. Since last September, they have been announcing collaborations for 10 consecutive months, and this is the sixth project in that series.

The finished product is a pair of Wellington eyewear made of rare dead stock navy blue celluloid. Of course, they are made by craftsmen in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, so there is no doubt about the quality. The lenses are smoked gray.

It is not as rugged and heavy as black, and is extremely casual. . Yet, it has a mysterious special feeling that is too good to be described as ordinary. It has something in common with the aesthetics of Takayuki Kikjima's collections.
