As if the owner's personality is directly incorporated into the store. This week, we are interested in an exhibition by an up-and-coming Swedish photographer.

If you like fashion, art, or photography, you have probably visited "flotsam books" or heard of the name even if you have never been there.

It is about a 10-minute walk from Daitabashi Station, where the Keio Line only stops at various stations, crossing Koshu Kaido Road and passing Okinawa Town on the side. The store's owner, Takayuki Kobayashi, has a lineup of photo books, magazines, and zines crammed into a space of about 3.5 square meters, which can be said to be his own individuality.

The irregular pace of exhibitions and pop-ups is so fast that something is happening almost every week these days. This weekend, a photo exhibition and book signing will be held by Erik Gustafsson, a photographer and printmaker from Göteborg, Sweden, to celebrate the release of his photo book.

His third book of photographs, titled "A House of Clay," is published by Loose Joints, a high-profile independent publishing house based between Marseille and London.

What the world is like inside the 152 pages is the special itself, which can only be experienced by those who hold the book in their hands.
