A photographer who has been active in recent years as an "artist associated with Hamamatsu.Shingo Wakagi. He is an artist with a pioneering spirit whose field of expression is not limited to photography, but has actively expanded his own sphere of activity to include film production, publication production, and bookstore management.
Wakagi received the Hamamatsu Education and Culture Encouragement Award for 2014, and as a commemorative award project, he had a solo exhibition at the "Kamoe Art Center" in Hamamatsu City from October 10 to November 4 last year.
. This time, a large-scale solo exhibition, which could be called a further culmination of his work, will be held at the Hamamatsu Museum of Art.
The exhibition, titled "Shingo Wakagi Photography Exhibition: Come & Go," consists mainly of a series of portraits of "celebrities" he has taken since 1997, as well as a new series of portraits of "photographers.
The exhibition will be a retrospective of photographer Shingo Wakagi's 20-year journey. From Hamamatsu to the world! is the copy printed on the poster, but please come and see the life of Shingo Wakagi, who has been so active that it is not an exaggeration.
