Anatomica, which Pierre Fournier opened in 1994 in a rented corner of the 4th arrondissement in Paris, is literally a store that stocks anatomical clothing and shoes, and it was only natural that Pierre would put Alden's V-tips on the sales floor.
This model, officially known as the "Argancon," is made on a modified last, which Alden completed in 1963 by improving the wooden pattern for orthopedic shoes that it had added to its menu in the 1950s. The silhouette is characterized by the curvature of the foot, and the sharply angled apron and split toe, which are clearly different from the U-tip, are said to have been devised to conform to this wooden pattern.

The new collection is clad in a "hunter brown" color. Compared to the color we imagine when we hear the word "brown," this color has a slightly stronger reddish tinge. In the U.S., this is a familiar color for military shoes and work boots, and the name is aptly descriptive.
. The leather is dress calf, which is known for its fine texture. The glossy luster of the leather enhances the beauty of its color.
The outsole, with its beautiful brown color, is made of oiled leather for flexibility and durability.
