TATTOO STUDIO YAMADA is a tattoo studio that is making a splash in the Harajuku scene.

The group includes not only tattoo artists, but also photographers, pattern makers, and other professionals in various fields, and their activities are no longer limited to "tattooing" alone. The range of their activities has been expanding one after another, including original apparel, collaborations with various brands, and so on.

The studio's photographer, Louis Takeuchi, will hold a solo exhibition in Harajuku, Tokyo. The exhibition, titled "INKHOLIC," is based on the concept of "tattoo portraits," in which portraits of people of various ages, races, and tastes, all covered in ink, are captured on film to express the stories of the times. While there may be different views, I believe that tattoo art is likewise a means of expressing personal identity and emotions, and represents an aspect of its time.
What can I express as a photographer belonging to a tattoo studio .
. attempts to capture the contemporary tattoo scene through portraits and by telling its story. The message one receives from this collection of photographs will also vary depending on one's personal views.
