In November 2023, "Planet Omega," an exhibition that unraveled the history of OMEGA, was held in New York. Space, James Bond, Sports and Olympics, Ocean... The exhibition was a great success, and visitors could enjoy the history of OMEGA by walking around the exhibition hall, which was composed of six areas.
At the exhibition, which was attended by many celebrities, the Speedmaster Moon Watch was the talk of the town, worn by Daniel Craig, the ambassador of the exhibition.
Designed with legibility as its top priority, the first Speedmaster featured a black dial with white hands and indices. Since then, this color scheme has become the heritage of the Speedmaster. The new model is a teleco version of the original Speedmaster, but it also pays homage to a different heritage.
The color palette is modeled after the extra-vehicular activity space suits that OMEGA has an inseparable connection with, and the Alaska I, a top-secret NASA project. The movement is the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861, the latest version of the Calibre 321 in which the astronauts placed their full trust, with a "dot over 90" tachymeter scale and a classic stainless steel bracelet with a row of five arched links. The bracelet is also a highlight.
