Interior designers will of course be familiar with the Artek Stool 60, designed by Alvar Aalto in 1933. This furniture masterpiece has been brilliantly rearranged by the BEAMS label "fennica.
The lineup includes a total of 12 colors with leather upholstered seats. This is a finish that will make even those who already own one want to get another.
. The inspiration was a vintage stool from the 1950s. While the seat is made of leather from the Sorensen Leather company, the clean look of the original is maintained by not using a cushion. The surface has been treated to protect it, so you can use it vigorously without hesitation and enjoy the leather's aging process beyond that.
In addition, the legs are made of wild birch, a wood that claims to be "birch in its natural state. This material literally means that the darker parts near the core and the marks left by insects have been preserved, allowing you to enjoy the one-of-a-kind expression created by the forest.
The first sale is limited to 60 pieces, tied to the "Stool 60". The "BEAMS" plate on the back of the seat is also a not-to-be-missed feature here.
The release date is Friday, July 12, starting at 6:00 p.m. It will be exhibited and sold at "fennica STUDIO" on the 5th floor of BEAMS JAPAN.
In addition, the product will also go on sale at BEAMS Kobe and the official online store of BEAMS from July 13 (Sat.) at 11:00 a.m., so those who live far away can check here.
