Started in 2007.FACETASM.The brand's unique creations, which mesh mode with street fashion, have gained the support of fashion-conscious young people in Japan and abroad. In 2004, Ochiai became the first Japanese to be nominated as a finalist for the LVMH Young Fashion Designers Prize. The creative stage "Nobunaga-NOBUNAGA," for which will provide costumes, will be held on August 5 (Sat.) and 6 (Sun.). The stage is based on famous military commanders of the Warring States period, and was first performed in October 2015, with world-renowned ballet dancer Farouk Ruzimatov (pictured left) as Nobunaga Oda, Morihiro Iwata, a soloist with the Bolshoi Ballet, as Hideyoshi Toyotomi, and Japanese dancer Ranko Fujima, winner of the Art Encouragement Prize of the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, as Ranko Fujima plays the roles of Doso Saito and Mitsuhide Akechi. This original fusion of ballet and Japanese dance attracted a great deal of attention.
This dance work, said to be a miraculous collaboration by Ruzimatov, Fujima, and Iwata, will be performed with a new production. The ballet costumes, which Ochiai created for the first time, are also a highlight of the show. It is a must-see for those who love clothes and those who aspire to be in the fashion industry.
