adidas Originals by Alexander Wang" is distinguished by its strong image-making and conceptual ideas, represented by the concept of "breaking down the boundaries between fashion and streetwear" and the "trefoil upside down" symbol. The three collections that have been released so far, the "Drop 1 Collection," "Drop 2 Collection," and "Main Collection," are called Season 1. Following on from these collections, we are now entering Season 2.
As with the past three, a very outlandish concept has been adopted. The theme of this year's story is "Rave x Cycling." The main characters in the story are a group of bike messengers in New York City, and they have created a unique, free spirit of youth, full of adrenaline and excess.
The image visuals continue to be created by photographer Yogan Teller. Mysterious bike messengers with balaclavas covering their faces are wearing one item from the collection.
The strange balance of half-nakedness, balaclavas, and items alone makes a strong impact.
The key item in this collection is the cycling dress in the first photo below. It is made of stretchy spacer interlock material.
The graphics on the items were inspired by 90's club flyers. Solar yellow and black were chosen as the main colors in the color palette to express the energy of youth.
This teaser video was supervised by Ryan Stark, who has created music videos for Young Thug, among others. It depicts a motorcycle messenger dancing at a warehouse rave party filled with frenzy and revelry while wearing collectibles. The last moment is somewhat haunting.
Also new is the footwear, which combines completely different materials - BOOST soles, molded rubber outsoles, and suede - with a set of silicone dots representing the three stripes.
