Organic colors and shapes interact with each other, and Mayumi Yamase's first solo exhibition in Osaka focuses on attraction and repulsion.

The works of artist MAYUMI YAMASE evoke the rhythm of life and the gentle gaze that gently envelops it.

Attraction and Repulsion - Attraction and Repulsion," his first solo exhibition in Osaka, is currently on view.

The exhibition will feature 22 new works on canvas , as well as additional three-dimensional works.

I don't want to verbalize too much about these abstract works, so I will leave the artist's words as they are.

In my recent paintings, I have been drawing a mass of various elements( and objects), and also a living thing that is assembled around the mass as if it is flying around it violently. I am interested in the repulsive forces ( and repulsion ) that arise in living things, as well as the opposite forces of attraction ( and attraction ) that come together. This time, I tried to focus on these sensory forces in my work.
