Chris, who grew up in Ottawa, Canada, began with a pair he found in a vintage store to fit in with his surroundings in New York City, and they have been his partners for over 30 years.

The new "Bimshire" will be launched, succeeding his longtime favorite "Boston" and the brand's classic "Zurich" models, two masterpieces of the past.

The new collection, launched to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Zurich, reinterprets casual footwear with a practical approach that only Chris can provide.

The natural leather strap gently cradles the foot, and the buckle shines with the presence typical of "Birkenstock. The canvas panels and suede toe give a modern look, while the anatomically designed footbed is accented with Union's signature orange color. Designed in desert ⾊ tones of gray and sandy pink, the "Bimshire" is reminiscent of the landscape of Chris's Barbados island roots.
