The denim shirt is the newcomer of the season, which creative director Kim Jones says he wanted to sublimate daywear to elegance.
The shirt, a fusion of the exquisite tailoring of British tailoring and the appearance of French couture, is a perfect example of what Kim wanted to achieve. While the pattern is not eccentric, it wraps around the body with flexibility and completes the styling with just one piece.
As the name "vintage-washed denim" implies, the body is moderately faded, and the lining is decorated with tartan check. Monsieur Dior cherished this textile as "the only luxury fabric that never goes out of style.
This denim shirt pays homage to the DIOR maison. While there is nothing wrong with chinos or denim, I think this shirt is a piece that looks great only when worn with slacks. That's how elegant it is.
