Normal edition ¥5,500
No matter how long you look at them, for some reason you never get tired of them. This is the second collection of works by Teppei Takeda, an artist/painter whose works are filled with such a mysterious charm.
Takeda made a strong debut on the Tokyo art scene with a solo exhibition in September 2019, and with the theme of "painting for painting's sake," his extremely abstract yet current paintings have been received with shock by both the domestic and international art scene.
The theme of the previous work, "PAINTINGS OF PAINTING," was "faces," and the new work, "FLOWERS," as the name suggests, is a collection of works on the subject of "flowers.
The endless three-dimensionality on the flat format of a painting, the nuances that give a sense of depth, and the touch that can only be found in Teppei Takeda's work are still present in this work.
FLOWERS" is designed by world-renowned product designer Naoto Fukasawa, and has a simple yet innovative finish. Incidentally, this is Fukasawa's first book design, and he has put a lot of delicate attention to detail into it.
Limited Edition Box Set ¥22,000
In addition to the standard edition of the book, two limited edition box sets and two limited edition B1 posters were produced, which were also designed by Fukasawa.
2 limited edition B1 posters ¥16,500
In conjunction with the release of this work, a solo exhibition, "Like a Flower," will be held for the first time in five years.
In addition, there will be an in-person talk between Teppei Takeda and Naoto Fukasawa at Dover Street Market Ginza on Friday, November 22 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., followed by an autograph session with Takeda before and after the talk.
This is a collection of works and a solo exhibition that will surely drive a wedge into the art scene. We hope you will come and enjoy Takeda's inexpressibly fascinating works with your own eyes.
