Nujabes, the pioneer of lo-fi hip-hop, passed away in 2010 in a tragic accident, and to keep his music alive for future generations, the Nujabes Metaphorical Ensemble began a live project last year to commemorate the 50th anniversary of his birth. The project began last year, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of his death.
This time, we would like to introduce "flows," a music event featuring bands and DJs including the Nujabes Metaphorical Ensemble. Music lovers should make their schedules now for this event, which will be held on December 29 (Sun.) at The Garden Hall in Ebisu, where they can fully enjoy good music performed by nine groups from Japan and abroad.
Also at the event, Nujabes will be selling a pre-sale copy of "Tribe Sampler Mushroom Jazz," a mixtape created in collaboration with Chicago-based DJ Mark Farina's "Mushroom Jazz" mix series, which consists mainly of jazzy hip-hop and dubby downtempo tracks. The mixtape, "Tribe Sampler Mushroom Jazz," was created in collaboration with Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz mixtape series, which focuses on jazzy hip-hop and dubby downtempo tracks.
Please note that this is a completely limited production, and if it sells out on the spot, it will not be sold to the general public.
