A commemorative event was held in collaboration with City Country City! We ran along the Sumida River in the middle of the summer season while rediscovering the fun of "connection through running".

Running is not only a sport, but also a culture, to be enjoyed in a free style like fashion and music. This collaboration between Huinamu and CITY COUNTRY CITY, which shares these values, has been realized. A total of five items, including T-shirts and accessories sampled from marathon runner T-shirts from around the world, were released.

The release event was held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at "Token" in Nihonbashi Hamacho, Tokyo. Pre-sales of the collaboration items were held.

Also at this event, the "Hui-Nam Running Club♡" led by Hui-Nam and "City Country City" jointly held a one-mile race. A total of about 20 members of each club gathered and ran along the Sumida River, not far from Token.

The rules of the one-mile race were simple: each team of three ran one mile (approximately 1.6 km), which was then linked together in a relay format to compete for the overall time. In addition, each team was asked to set an estimated time in advance, and the sub-rules were set up for the teams to compete on the basis of the smallest margin of error from their actual finishing time.

First, warm up and preview the course. All participants will run one mile together.

Although the temperature was low, the warmth of the sun could be felt under the rays of the sun, and the air was dignified, which is typical of the season of the New Year. There was almost no wind, making it a perfect day for running.

After a light run and a moderate body warming up, the race started!

It's only one mile, but it's still one mile. If you run too slowly, it may not be enough, but if you run too hard, you will run out of breath. It is an exquisite distance.

The "invisible tusk" is connected from the first runner to the second runner, and then to the third runner. The moment of high-five, everyone was strangely smiling.

Each team runs one mile and all teams finish! Because of its short distance, the one-mile race can be enjoyed by those not so familiar with running.

After the finish, we returned to "Toto-Ken" and after sweating it out in the sauna and showers, we all toasted together!

With a beer in one hand, we can look back on the day's events and talk about our daily runs and races. The common language of "running" makes it easy to communicate not only with fellow participants but also with people you have never met before.

Now, here are the results. The team that was crowned the winner of the one-mile race is this one!

What did the participants think and feel through this event? We asked the three members of the winning team what they thought.

I live in Kagoshima. I participated in this event because it coincided with my business trip. It was interesting to see the connection between fashion and running, and above all, the run along the Sumida River felt great! （Kenta Mizusako)

...... In addition, the team of "Hui-Nam Running Club ♡" (Hiroshi Yamamoto, Taijiro Oda, Issei Enomoto) won the sub-rule for the smallest margin of error between the estimated time and the finish time!

This team finished last among all the teams in the overall time, as they all ran at their own leisurely pace. However, the margin of error between the estimated time and the finish time was the smallest.

Running is often viewed as "fast = great". Of course, it is great to be able to run fast, but "fast is not everything.

Under a clear blue winter sky, everyone enjoyed a pleasant run, got fit in the sauna, and deepened communication through the common language of running. This event provided a variety of such experiences. We believe that the participants were able to experience anew the depth of the simple act of "running" and the fun of "connecting through running.
