I picked it up, attracted by the contrast. It was a buffalo horn. The well-known maillon from "Chêne d'Angkle" was expressed in horn material.
In case you missed it, the "Chaîne d'Angkle" is Hermès' first all-metal jewelry collection, created in 1938 during the reign of Robert Dumas, the company's fourth president. The inspiration for this collection came from an anchor that used to hold up ships anchored on the beaches of Normandy. The name "Chaine d'Angkle" means "anchor chain" in French.
The surprises did not end there. The palladium-plated frame connecting the maillons was also unique. It was a beautiful shell of two different kinds. One was based on a cockle and the other on a whelk.
The name of this new work is "Rivage". This is French for "coast.
Early in the morning, as the tide receded, I pictured a girl collecting shells, half peeking out from the beach, and stringing them together.
Bracelet "Rivage" ¥237,600 (estimate)
