Denim Tears' new collection is inspired by a certain movie. A pop-up will be held at PORTRATION in Harajuku, Tokyo.

DenimTears will hold a pop-up store to coincide with the launch of its new collection.

The venue chosen for the event was a T-shirt shop that mainly handles culture-themed T-shirts.PORTRATION."The first step is to check it out along with the look. Let's check it out first, along with the look.

This year's theme is The Scorpion & The Frog. The theme explores the similarities between the African American civil rights movement in the United States and the Troubles in Northern Ireland. Also, a major source of inspiration was the 1983 short film "The Black and the Green" by St. Clair Bourne, an African American documentary filmmaker. Some of the items are shown here.

DELICATE UNIT Collaboration

The pop-up store will also feature a lineup of specially created items and collaborations with artist Susumu Murakami.

This is the Japanese design studio "DELICATE UNITThis MA-1 bomber jacket, created in collaboration with "NIGERIA," is a MA-1 made in the U.S. in the 80s and 90s, with "NIGERIA" embroidered on guinness towels procured from around the world. Such a well-designed item should shine only when worn proudly as the star of a coordinated outfit.

Collaboration item by Susumu Murayama

We also collaborated with Susumu Murayama, an artist active in Japan and abroad. It is based on the masks worn by people at the time the travails occurred. The idea came from an upcycled "Ralph Lauren" herringbone jacket, with hand-knitted goggles attached.

It can be worn with oriental moods and folkloric fashions, or to add a point of interest to everyday outfits.

The store will also offer a wide variety of color variations of items other than those introduced in this issue. Tremaine Emory, one of the designers of Denim Tears, will also be in the store. This is a rare opportunity for fans of the brand, so don't miss it.
