A home is more than just a box. We want it to be a space that brings stimulation and inspiration into our lives and inspires our creativity. Layover Kanamachi" was created with this in mind. While being a rental residence, it is a new type of living space with a café and a motorcycle wear brand store attached to it.
The theme of "Layover Kanamachi" is "playful mind and coffee aroma. Outdoor activities, art, bicycles, coffee, and people. People who are drawn to these keywords will gather at Layover Kanamachi, and the space will function as a place where a community is born.
The architectural design is by Shogo Sasaki, president of SARC Planning Institute. The eight-story building with seismic isolation structure and concrete exterior has a stylish yet warm appearance.
The first floor will house the Bicycle Coffee roasting shop and café, and a 7mesh brand showroom for cyclists, while the second floor will house the Evergoods, MiiR, ENO, POINT6, and other diverse brands. The second floor will house the Sunwest Store, a store featuring a variety of brands such as EVERGOODS, MiiR, ENO, and POINT6, as well as an event space.
And the rental residences (23 units in total) are located on the 3rd to 6th floors. The maisonette-type units, measuring approximately 30 square meters, are equipped with a large entrance with a dirt floor, and bicycles and small motorcycles can be brought in.
On Saturday, March 1, "Bicycle Coffee" on the first floor and "Sunwest Store" on the second floor will open. Of course, non-residents are welcome to enter, so please enjoy "Layover Kanamachi" in your own way, whether taking a break at the café or shopping.
