Paul Smith is a brand that is well versed in the art of collaboration and brings a sense of the unexpected to fashion.
We have worked with a variety of companies in the past, but this time we will be working with Lee. This time, we will be working with Lee, a leading American jeans brand with which we are very familiar.
There is an untold story behind the collaboration of the proud British and American brands. More than half a century ago, Paul Smith recalls the days of his small 3 x 3 meter store.
In the 1970s, when I was just starting my store in Nottingham, I dealt with Lee. Lee was very important to me from the very beginning of the brand. It was much harder to import clothes from the US to the UK back then than it is now. That is why I was really excited when the clothes were put on the store shelves. I am very happy that we were able to work together this time to create this collection.
The capsule collection includes jeans "Lee 101," jackets "101 Stormrider™️" and "Lee Chore," western shirts, and carpenter pants. Each of them expresses the Paul Smith style through prints and patterns.
It also features colorful details and the signature "Paul Smith" stripe, as in Paul Smith's words "Look and See" (look closely with your eyes), which is also the keyword of this work.
The women's collection, including denim skirts, as well as tote bags, caps, and bandanas, will be available only in Japan.
These are available for pre-order on the official Paul Smith website until Tuesday, March 18. After that, they will be available at all stores, including the brand's online store, from Wednesday, March 20.
