Two Taxes and Seven by Seven. Reunion clothes, born from a coincidence of coincidences.

Ryoji Honma of 2-tacs and Junya Kawakami of SEVEN BY SEVEN. Did you know that the two were old acquaintances? They met through vintage clothing in San Francisco about 25 years ago. Over time, the two brands' personalities have come together to create this shirt. Many people will look at the words "I'm not" embroidered on the left chest and say, "Oh? I'm not" embroidered on the left chest, there must be many people who reacted with a "Oh? There are many things you want to know. Let's end this preamble with a few words and have them tell us what they are interested in.

If people saw it, they would say, "Huh? If people see it, they will say, "Huh?

Going back to the subject of shirts again, the American-made ones are dying out, but are there still a lot of items that are not made in the U.S.?

Upstream: I think it will come out. They are still being made as uniforms. However, I still prefer American-made uniforms.

How much do you have in quantity?

Upstream: Probably about 100 pieces. Originally, they were vintage clothes, so the sizes and color patterns are all different. To go into detail, for this collaboration, we are reproducing the idea of cutting off a map jacket and using it as a name tag in the early days of "Tutax".

Honma: It's a luxury.

Upstream: I am very happy. I hope people will understand. If people see it, they will say, "Huh? I hope people who see it will understand.

Honma: People who are arahant or arahfi might react to it.

Upstream: I think it can go up to late 30's. There are women's sizes, too, and I think you can wear them cutely. Also, I really like Mr. Honma's styling. So I would like to have him work with this product. I think that would be the best way to achieve this.

It's a gorgeous project, isn't it?

Honma: At first I thought about getting a model to come out, but then I decided I should just do it myself now. I styled a total of 6 poses, all in my own clothes.

How do you feel now, looking back, after having exchanged with us for the first time in a long time?

Upstream: It was fun. I felt a sense of tension in my own way, and I did it while remembering the old days. I think I can still do it now, and I think I can understand the goodness of it. I want the audience to enjoy it as well.

Honma: It was something I had already digested, but I am glad that Junya hooked it up like this and gave it shape. When I actually saw it, I thought it was great. I think the quality has improved a lot since then (laughs).

Upstream: Since the embroidery is chain stitch, it would be fun to see it shrink and change texture after washing. I think that will give it a different atmosphere. It's also good that it can be worn tough. I want people from all walks of life to pick one up.
