Interview with TENDRE The new bay flow is very cleverly balanced.
What kind of impression did you get from the new "BayFlow" clothes?
TENDRE: I thought there was a lot of variation. I myself like to wear a variety of clothes, including oversized and tight-fitting depending on my mood. In that sense, I felt that I could find my own unique style in Bayflow's clothes. When I actually put on the sleeves, I was surprised to find that I could wear these kinds of clothes, and some of the items gave me a new sense of possibility.
You shot four different styling sessions this time. Which one did you feel most comfortable with?
TENDRE: The styling for the photo shoot at the café was not the kind of clothing I would normally choose, but when I tried it on, I realized that it was quite appropriate. It was the most relaxing experience.
That's a surprising answer. Personally, I thought it would be the last denim set-up.
TENDRE: I wasn't sure whether to say that or not. Denim set-ups have always been my favorite style, and baggy denim is not a silhouette I usually choose, but I had the feeling that it felt right when I put it on. The polo shirt I wore inside was also comfortable to wear because of its generous fabric.
Bayflow is a brand that often draws inspiration for its designs from vintage clothing.
TENDRE: That's right. Knowing the designs of the past is a way for me to connect to the present. However, I am not only biased toward old clothes, but I always think about how I can combine them with new clothes of today and bring them closer to my current mood. I have the impression that the new "Bay Flow" clothes have a very skillful sense of balance.
The functional "urban utility" set-up also had a nice, mature look.
TENDRE: I think the styling skills shone through. I learned a lot about how to make a garment look like this depending on how it is worn.
On the other hand, the bicycle scene was very realistic. This time, TENDRE used his own beloved bicycle for the filming.
TENDRE: When I get attached to a vehicle, I want to drive it around more and more. I feel like it's my partner, so I brought it along this time (laughs).
The "Wonder Shape" fabric of the pants is stretchy and seems to allow you to ride a bicycle without stress.
TENDRE: Choosing pants when riding a bicycle is very important. I don't usually wear jogger pants, but I thought they might be a good choice. They are also very comfortable. The styling was casual, so I felt like I was in the right mood for the shoot. I wore a denim jacket over my shoulders in a rough style, and this way of interacting with clothes is probably close to my ideal way of feeling.
I get the impression from our conversation that you are very fond of fashion, aren't you?
TENDRE: No, no, there are many people who know more than I do (laughs). (Laughs) But I do my best to keep the stage and my private life linked. There are clothes that I can wear because I am on stage, but on the other hand, rather than settling down in my private life, I seek colors, shapes, and a good balance that will enhance my private life as well as my own. That is why I like to search for both old and new clothes.
