During my recent business trip to Paris, I took time out of my schedule to visit two exhibitions. The first was "Rien ne nous y préparait - Tout nous y préparait" by photographer Wolfgang Tillmans at the Centre Georges Pompidou just before it closed for renovations. The exhibition includes a variety of photographs, from portraits to still-lifes to abstract paintings. Personally, I was struck by the naturalistic portraits of musicians from the 90s, which I used to see in magazines at the time. The second was the world's first retrospective of filmmaker Wes Anderson, which was held at the Cinematheque. The content of this exhibition, which also covered his entire career, included costumes and props from all 11 of his films, storyboards with a cute touch, and notebooks filled with his ideas. There were also plenty of items for sale, and I left with a catalog and a can badge to commemorate the event. It was a pity that I had no time to visit all the exhibits, but it was a valuable opportunity for me to see the exhibition, which is not easily realized in Japan.

I took a summer vacation and went to Korea for the first time in my life. We drank and ate a lot during the six days.
