Effortless style proposed by Yuta Kaji. VOL.1 OKAMOTO'S

HAWKINS" was born in England in the 19th century, and has been a long-established brand that has been involved in military boots and work boots, and has been supported by outdoor enthusiasts for many years due to its high durability and comfort. It is also known for having sparked a major movement among students and street culture in Japan. Inheriting such history, the new "Liam Series" combines the appeal of classic work boots with modern functionality. The design that can be worn in town without any discomfort, while being waterproof and cushioned, is truly a daily boot that is easy to incorporate into daily life. For this issue, we asked stylist Yuta Kaji, who is known for his effortless, undressed style, to describe the appeal of the Liam series. The model for the first issue is Mr. Reiji Okamoto of OKAMOTO'S.

Style 02. a perfect balance of classic and playful.

Next, we introduce a one-tone coordinate based on white. The addition of a light green fleece as a color accent creates a sense of lightness and rhythm.

The fleece is from Patagonia in the 1980s. I didn't have the image of Mr. Reiji Okamoto wearing vintage or secondhand clothes, but I incorporated elements of secondhand clothes that I like and expressed his glamorous and trendy look naturally.

The vividness of the fleece subtly stands out in the one-tone white, adding a light accent to the overall coordination. For the feet, black "Liam Lace" was chosen.

The black on the feet gives a clear balance to the whole look. Sneakers would work as well, but bringing in classic boots makes casual items such as fleece and denim look more beautiful.

The classic feel of "Liam Lace" plays an exquisite role in bringing casual items together in a mature manner. As a whole, the collection expresses a style that naturally fits with the client, while daring to incorporate items that are out of character for Mr. Reiji Okamoto. The basic yet playful look has a relaxed, laid-back air and exquisite nuance.
